"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"
It's here and I stayed up! First time in years.
I'm very optimistic about this year and feeling great. Elizabeth is incredible...David is his usual kind and generous self (not to mention totally handsome, still!) and Micki and I have become good friends. Now, I want this to be a better year for Jackie...she needs it and deserves it.
I told David that I've never, in my life, kept a NY's resolution, but I'm going to this time. I'm quitting smoking, once and for all. Elizabeth has caught me and truly is upset about the whole thing, but is so adult about it. She wants to help me quit and even said that she would stop lying if I would stop smoking. Geez, her's are tiny, insignificant, white lies which I'm sure is normal for a 7 year old, but it means that much to her.
I'll do it...even if it means gaining weight. I'll survive.
I'm loving this year already!
